Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician to perform accurate testing, results reporting, and routine/complex procedures within the laboratory information system. You will support quality control and provide compassionate service in a high-volume pediatric environment.

Required: a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in laboratory science or a military medical lab course; ASCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in lab science or medical lab tech OR military 50-week course required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex procedures in the lab information system in a timely manner.
• Upholds applicable laws and regulations; maintains procedures and quality control.
• Delivers service excellence and safe patient care through effective communication.
• Maintains a safe work environment and uses PPE; reports hazards promptly.
• Participates in QA, continuing education, and department meetings.
