Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist III for the Columbia, MD area. You will perform a range of routine and complex tests, ensuring accurate results and adherence to SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Required: BS in Medical Lab Sciences or related field, MT/MLS certification, and at least 2 years of direct lab experience. Evening shift, full-time with weekend/holiday rotations, and active involvement in training and QA activities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Medical Lab Sciences, Medical Technology or related field.
• Must maintain MT/MLS certification throughout employment.
• Minimum 2 years of direct clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory tests and report results.
• Support pre-analytical and analytical needs and maintain quality control.
• Provide training to new hires, students and colleagues as assigned.
• Lead or assist in onboarding new testing programs and QA activities.
• Resolve problems and assist with workflow and instrument issues.
