Job summary

Thunder Bay Community Health Service, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper for the Onaway Clinic, working after hours in a part-time, on-site role. The position offers approximately 12–15 hours per week at $18/hr, with a schedule typically Monday–Friday from 5:00 p.m.

to 8:00 p.m. No travel between TBCHS locations is expected. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing patient areas, restocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and following safety and infection prevention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, custodial, environmental services, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation to and from the Onaway Clinic required.
• Successful completion of a background check required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, hallways, break rooms, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors, carpets, mats, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect exam tables, furniture, fixtures, sinks, mirrors, glass, doors, and other surfaces following established procedures.
• Empty trash and recycling and properly dispose of waste.
• Restock soap, paper products, and other facility supplies.
• Maintain cleaning equipment, janitorial closets, and supply areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment while following safety, infection prevention, and sanitation procedures.
• Complete cleaning checklists and promptly report supply needs, maintenance concerns, safety issues, damage, or unusual conditions.
• Maintain building security and protect confidential patient, employee, and organizational information while working after hours.
• Maintain dependable attendance and communicate appropriately regarding scheduling or coverage needs.
