Job summary

Saint Mary's College of California, School of Science, invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach Survey of Chemistry Lab (Chem 105L) for the Fall 2026 term in Moraga, CA. Classes meet Tuesdays 5:10-8:10 pm; candidate must reside in California and hold an advanced degree in Chemistry or related field.

In addition to teaching, the instructor will provide office hours and align with the Lab Coordinator's syllabus and grading standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Undergraduate teaching experience in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology, OR teaching experience in any subfield of chemistry and research in organic/biochemistry.

Responsibilities

• Teach Survey of Chemistry Lab (Chem 105L) and accompanying Survey of Chemistry 105.
• Hold regular office hours (minimum one hour per week) for student support.
• Ensure consistency with syllabus, experiments, labs, assessments and grading standards.
