Job summary

Cypress Pointe Health & Wellness in Houston, TX is seeking an RN or LVN to serve as Charge Nurse for the evening shift (2pm–10pm). This full-time role involves leading nursing care for residents, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Candidates should hold an LVN or RN license, CPR certification, and have at least 1 year of clinical experience. Competitive benefits including PTO, holidays, and comprehensive health coverage are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing.
• Unencumbered LVN or RN license or Compact State License.
• Proof of CPR certification and ability to work flexible schedules.
• Minimum 1 year experience as LVN or RN in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement community programs, policies and procedures.
• Obtain report from nurse being relieved and provide report to nurse coming on duty; record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action as necessary.
• Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to supervisor and initiating corrective action
• Follow staffing guidelines and make nursing assignments according to qualifications of staff and characteristics of the resident population
• Comply with community processes related to pain assessment/management/ documentation, providing treatments and delivering medications
• Administer and document direct resident care, medications and treatments per physicians’ orders and accurately record all care provided
• Provide instruction for appropriate nursing care to licensed nurses and Nursing Assistants
