Job summary

Florida Coast Medical Center is seeking a Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician to reprocess sterile and non-sterile materials for surgery and hospital units. You will handle manual cleaning, decontamination, and operate washers and sonic units, testing autoclaves and keeping compliant records.

You will also assist in training staff on quality assurance, performance improvement, and departmental compliance, ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience as CS/SPD Tech or similar.
• Certification: CBSPD or IAHCSMM, or 15+ years experience in lieu.
• Certification must be current and kept up to date.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess sterile and non-sterile materials, instruments, and equipment for surgery and hospital units.
• Perform manual cleaning and decontamination; operate washers and sonic units.
• Test autoclaves for efficiency and maintain compliant records.
• Assist in recall processes and train staff on quality assurance and compliance.
