Job summary

The Terraces at Westminster is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to join our care team. This full-time role covers 3pm-11pm and every other weekend, focusing on safe, accurate medication administration and attentive daily care.

You will administer medications by various routes, observe reactions, document promptly, and collaborate with licensed staff to support residents’ health and well-being. A valid MT/CMA certification and CNA/CHHA credential are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Medication Technician/Aide Certification in the state of employment.
• Must also be a CNA or CHHA, as required.
• Previous Certified Medication Technician (CMT) experience required.
• Experience in administering oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic meds, and subcutaneous injections.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to follow clinical instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple residents in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents safely and accurately per physician orders and policies.
• Provide medications via oral, topical, optic, ophthalmic, and subcutaneous routes as permitted.
• Observe residents for medication responses and promptly report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic resident care under licensed nursing supervision.
• Ensure medications are stored, secured, and accounted for per procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all medication administration and care activities.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to promote resident-centered care and outcomes.
