Qualifications

• Must be registered with Minnesota Department of Health as a CNA.
• Must complete the 48 hour Minnesota Trained Medication Assistant Course.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• CNA certification or ability to become certified within six months of hire date.
• Board of Nursing approved Trained Medication Aide training in state of practice required.

Responsibilities

• To administer and document inhalers, eye drops, ear drops, oral, rectal, and topical medications under the supervision and guidelines of the Charge Nurse.
• Assist in providing for the residents' physical, mental, spiritual, psychological, and social needs under the supervision, guidance, and teaching of the Charge Nurse.
