Home Instead Charlottesville, VA is seeking compassionate caregivers for evening shifts (5pm–9pm, Mon–Fri and weekends) to support an elderly client in the Charlottesville area. Roles include companionship, mobility assistance, meal prep, medication reminders, personal care, and light housekeeping with potential transportation support.

Qualifications include at least 6 months caregiving experience or a valid CNA/HHA/PCA/DSP, a valid driver’s license with insurance, ability to lift 25 lbs, and

Qualifications

• At least 6 months caregiving experience or CNA/HHA/PCA/DSP, or willingness to train.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle with insurance, within 25 miles of Charlottesville.
• Must be 18+ and able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to the senior client.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercise.
• Prepare meals for the client and provide medication reminders.
• Support with personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Light housekeeping and occasional transportation for errands or appointments.
