Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings. You’ll assist with personal hygiene and help participants achieve daily goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.

You’ll build meaningful relationships and work with supportive leaders to do what’s right for participants. Hours are scheduled M/T/Th/F 12pm-8pm with EO Sa/Su 12pm-8pm.

Qualifications

• Education: No High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Foster real, meaningful relationships and provide ownership and trust from leaders to do what’s right for participants.
