Job summary

Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver Assistant in Fort Dodge, IA to support residents with daily living activities and compassionate care. You will follow each resident’s care plan, assist with meals, social activities, and daily tasks to help residents live life to the fullest.

The role requires teamwork and strong communication with the branch team. Certification as CNA or willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid is required, with training opportunities and daily pay options available.

Qualifications

• Willing to successfully complete the Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain certification.
• Willing to take additional training or education as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Appropriately communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Knowledge of how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
