Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a Full-time Resident Assistant for the Assisted Living Department. The PM shift includes working every other weekend and providing support to residents to enhance wellbeing and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, instrumental tasks, safety checks, and accurate documentation. Prior caregiving experience is preferred, and applicants should be capable of communicating clearly with the care team.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living.
• Good communication and observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting as needed.
• Help with instrumental ADLs such as bed making and laundry.
• Provide minimal to light assistance with incontinence care.
• Conduct safety checks and monitor resident wellbeing.
• Notice changes in residents’ behavior or health and report them.
• Document information clearly in residents’ records and communicate with team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
