Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a Resident Assistant for the Assisted Living Department. This full-time overnight position includes every other weekend rotation and focuses on supporting residents to reach their highest level of independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, instrumental tasks like bed making and laundry, safety checks, and clear communication with the management team. Previous caregiving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides minimal to moderate assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living such as bed making and laundry.
• Provides minimal assistance with incontinence care.
• Performs safety checks.
• Recognizes and responds to changes in residents' behavior, cognitive and physical functioning and level of participation and interaction with others.
• Communicates both verbal and written information objectively and timely to management team.
• Documents clearly and legibly in residents' records.
• Other duties as assigned.
