Job summary

UT Health East Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the cardiology team at our main hospital in Tyler. This full-time, inpatient role requires 12-hour evening shifts from 11a to 11p, and the APP will be the sole provider on-site during evening hours after orientation.

You will manage acute cardiology floor issues, handle rounds and admissions, respond to ER chest-pain cases, and coordinate with on-call cardiology physicians.

Qualifications

• Cardiology or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle all acute cardiology floor issues, routine rounding, and admissions.
• Respond to ER consults, evaluate chest pain patients, and manage new consultations.
• Act as the primary on-site link to the on-call cardiology physicians.
