Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Monitor Tech to support the department by monitoring cardiac rhythms and meeting communication needs.

This unlicensed role transcribes physician orders when CPOE/EMR is unavailable and ensures tests are ordered and completed; prepares records in the ER and orders supplies.

Under RN supervision, the Monitor Tech may assist with indirect patient care and, when certified CNA and competency are met, may provide direct care as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.

Aufgaben

• Monitor cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac monitors.
• Transcribe physician orders in the absence of CPOE and EMR clinical documentation system.
• Verify that lab tests and radiology tests have been ordered and done.
• Prepare and compile patient records in the ER and assist nursing staff with indirect patient care as needed.
