Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires.
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Monitor Tech observes cardiac rhythms via direct monitors and ensures accurate documentation.
• Transcribes physician orders in the absence of CPOE/EMR systems and verifies tests have been ordered.
• Prepares and files patient charts and maintains unit supplies.

Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate

BLS (AHA) certificate
