Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks a Campus Security Specialist for the evening shift at Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado. The role focuses on proactive security services, maintaining a safe environment, and fostering positive relationships with students.

Responsibilities include monitoring visitor access, enforcing conduct codes, collaborating with staff, supervising student activities, and supporting law enforcement when needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years related experience preferred (law enforcement, adolescent supervision, or similar)
• Education in related fields also acceptable
• Ability to monitor campus environment and enforce safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Monitor visitor access to ensure only authorized persons enter
• Enforce Student Conduct and Discipline Code and other school rules
• Collaborate with Athletic Director and coaches after school hours
• Monitor and supervise students’ activities and enforce parking regulations
• Assist law enforcement and District Security as needed
• Secure campus after hours and check doors prior to leaving the building
