Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Campus Security Specialist for Larkspur Elementary. This full-time role involves proactively promoting safety, monitoring access, and enforcing school policies to maintain a secure learning environment.

Minimum 1–3 years of related experience preferred. High School diploma required; First Aid/CPR certification (Colorado). Scheduled to work 40 hours per week as a regular, full-time position open until filled.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of related experience in security, law enforcement, or youth supervision.
• Education in law enforcement, social services, behavioral sciences, or counseling is acceptable.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred (Colorado requirement listed).

Responsibilities

• Assist law enforcement and District Security with enforcement of school policies.
• Watch for disturbances and intervene to halt or prevent incidents to keep students safe.
• Monitor visitor access to ensure only authorized persons enter the campus.
• Enforce Student Conduct and Discipline Code and refer to administrators when needed.
• Monitor and supervise student activities and enforce parking regulations.
