Job summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a full-time custodian to support campus facilities, including offices, classrooms, laboratories and public spaces.

Available shift is Monday through Friday, 4pm to 12:30am, with supervision from the Facilities Management team. The role requires basic reading and writing skills, ability to operate custodial equipment, use work order systems and radios, and maintain safety while performing physical tasks; one year of custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
• Follow verbal and written instructions to ensure safety.
• Operate and care for custodial equipment and supplies applicable to the position.
• Knowledge of Google Suite, computerized work control system, and PeopleSoft preferred.
• Must possess and/or obtain a California Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial and related duties in support of campus buildings and facilities.
• Operate custodial equipment and maintain cleaning schedules.
• Use work order systems and two-way radios for communication.
• Observe safety requirements and perform physical tasks as required.
