Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced Building Services Assistant Manager II for Shift II at Wyngate Elementary School. The role oversees evening cleaning crews, ensures facility cleanliness, security, and proper operation of equipment while reporting to the Building Service Manager.

Requires strong supervisory skills and knowledge of cleaning methods. Full-time, 8 hours daily, 80 hours bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, and practices used in building service work, and proper use and care of cleaning equipment.
• Safe, efficient procedures for operating central heating plants and ability to adjust/repair equipment.
• Ability to train, assign, supervise, and inspect work of subordinates; maintain records and prepare routine reports.
• Knowledge of SSPGS core competencies and ability to work with students, staff, and community groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise afternoon and evening cleaning staff.
• Ensure cleanliness, upkeep, and security of the facility while on duty.
• Maintain time and materials records and prepare routine reports.
• Interact with students, teachers, school leadership staff and the general public.
