Job summary

Wallace Graphics in Duluth, GA is seeking a Bindery Operator for the second shift (4 PM–4:30 AM) to set up, run, and maintain Stahl and MBO folders, folding sheets and preparing them for final packaging. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of commercial bindery experience, can read job jackets, and adjust machines to meet quality specs.

This full-time position requires standing, heavy lifting, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

Technical expertise navigating Heidelberg Folder or similar machinery control panel and parts.
Experience loading, checking quality, and unloading sheets from cutter machinery.
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, press imposition and rule-up sheets.
Read and understand Job Jackets and perform basic mathematical calculations.
Understand maintenance of cutter machinery and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate bindery machines for folding sheets and packing.
Review specs to determine page sequence, fold type, and packing requirements.
Presets and adjusts side guides, fold plates, and blades for max speed and quality.
Monitor machine operations and adjust during production as needed for quality.
Log data, ensure job completion meets quality and quantity standards.
Maintain a clean, safe work area and perform routine machine maintenance.
