Job summary

The Behavioral Wellness Center At Girard is seeking dependable Behavioral Health Technicians to support a structured residential program for adults with serious mental illness and complex care needs. This role focuses on stability, recovery, and daily functioning within a multidisciplinary team.

You will help with daily routines, reinforce treatment goals, and maintain a safe environment while collaborating with nurses and clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct care experience.
• Two+ years of direct care experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and behavioral support to residents.
• Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Monitor resident behavior and report changes in condition.
• Support therapeutic, recreational, and group activities.
• Utilize de-escalation and trauma-informed techniques during behavioral incidents.
• Document observations and interactions in the electronic health record.
• Reinforce individualized treatment plans and behavioral goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment.
• Accompany residents to appointments, activities, and meetings.
• Conduct routine rounds and support overall unit operations.
