Job summary

Phillips Medisize, a Molex company, is hiring an Automation Technician for our New Richmond, WI site. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated equipment to ensure safe, reliable production.

You will work with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Production to resolve issues, perform preventive maintenance, and improve equipment performance. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong electrical/pneumatic skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Technical certificate, diploma, associate degree, or higher in Automation/Mechatronics/Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing and assembly equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, controls, sensor, HMI, PLC, servo, and robotic system issues.
• Respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore production.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.
• Read electrical/pneumatic schematics and equipment drawings; use diagnostic tools.
• Assist with installation, setup, commissioning, and modification of equipment.
• Support root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, uptime, and cycle time.
• Document repairs, maintenance, parts usage, and equipment history in CMMS/ERP.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel.
