Highland Hospital is seeking a Full Time, Evening Lab Supervisor to join its team. Candidates for this role would work Monday - Friday, evenings, with rotating weekends.

Some Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• The Core Laboratory Assistant Supervisor demonstrates a superior level of expertise in all areas of the core laboratory to assist the Core Laboratory Supervisors with operational functionality within regulatory standards and hospital policies. This individual functions independently as Core Laboratory Supervisor in the absence of the Supervisor and performs duties of Lead Technologists as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills for operating instrumentation in all areas of the Core Laboratory, works independently, exhibits flexibility, and develops collaborative relationships with staff. Upholds ICARE values and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Performs advanced department tasks including calibration, quality assurance, proficiency testing, new method evaluation, SOP review, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance monitoring for CAP and NYSDOH standards.
• Oversees staff and student training, promotes judicious use of supplies, and helps meet budgetary goals.

Salary Range

$38.50 - $50.82 an hour. Salaries are determined based on experience, education, and internal equity.

Job Requirements

• Education: BS in Medical Laboratory Technology or NYS DOE licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or meeting NYS DOH and CLIA requirements for general supervisor.
• License/Certification: NYS license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Skills: Prioritization, multitasking, good communication skills.
