Job summary

Wenger Corporation in Owatonna, MN, is seeking an Assembly Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role involves routine inspections, assembly, basic quality checks and packing/shipping prep on a four 10-hour shift schedule with overtime Fridays. Strong English skills and safety compliance are essential.

You will work with drills, routers, clamps, saws, presses and other equipment to meet quality and productivity targets while contributing to a supportive, family-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• 6 months manufacturing experience.
• Experience training others.
• Experience understanding engineering drawings.
• Experience performing mechanical assembly.
• Experience performing electrical assembly.
• Experience operating machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machinery including drills, routers, clamps, saws, presses and manual tools.
• Review assignments and paperwork to optimize shift activity.
• Perform manufacturing processes per policies and standards.
• Check work against specs and forward defect data for action.
• Meet or exceed established quality and quantity standards.
• Communicate with leadership to suggest process improvements.
• Keep assigned area clean and safe to minimize hazards.
• Support team with accurate, timely duties.
• Demonstrate knowledge of processes and organize materials/tools.
• Mentor trainees to support development and results.
• Maintain English proficiency for safety and operations.
