Job summary

Kadima Health and Nursing at Pottstown is seeking an Activity Assistant to join our care team. The role supports residents with engaging evening activities and monitors program participation.

Shift is 4pm–8pm; the ideal candidate will plan and implement group and individual activities, document participation, and collaborate with staff and volunteers to enhance quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in activity planning or elder care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and monitors unit activities, content of programs and independent activities.
• Implements individual and group activities; supervise residents’ use of all equipment and materials and takes necessary precautions in implementing the program.
• Oversee documentation of resident participation assessment, MDS, care plan and progress on the appropriate forms.
• Works with activities staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies and volunteer groups.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
