Job summary

Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa, IA is seeking a Part-Time Activity Assistant for the evening shift to help plan, implement and evaluate recreational, social, intellectual and spiritual programs for residents as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 0–2 years of experience. Availability from 5pm to 8pm on weeknights is required. Paid Time Off is offered as a perk.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must provide care appropriate to age-related needs of residents.
• Must deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and public.
• Must be patient, cheerful and enthusiastic with residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs.
• Involve residents and families in planning objectives and goals.
• Ensure that charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive.
• Prepare activity rooms for scheduled programs and clean up afterwards.
• Move and arrange equipment to prep activity areas.
• Assist in development, preparation and disbursement of paperwork and calendars.
