Job summary

Edgerton Care Center in Edgerton, WI is seeking an Activities Aide to support residents with daily social, spiritual and therapeutic programming on-site. Part-time, weekdays 4-7pm with every other weekend schedule.

You will plan monthly calendars, conduct group and one-on-one activities, and document progress while collaborating with staff to enhance residents' quality of life. Requirements include compassion for seniors, clear English communication, and a valid WI driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must be English literate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Knowledgeable with planning, developing and implementing resident crafts.
• Well-developed organizational skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Interviews resident to complete Initial and Annual Assessments.
• Facilitates daily events and programming to meet the needs of the residents.
• Performs one on one interaction to enhance quality of life.
• Implements Plan of Care.
• Plans own programs for monthly calendar.
• Enable residents to maximize their potential in activity participation through adaptation, clues, prompts and grading.
• Documents quarterly and annual progress notes into Matrix.
