Job summary

Ford is seeking a Seating CAE Engineer to analyze and optimize seat structures for next-generation electric vehicle platforms. You will lead CAE modeling for seat strength and stiffness and work with design, safety, and CAE teams to meet performance requirements.

The role requires 5+ years of CAE experience, proficiency with Hyperworks/ANSA/LS-PrePost and Nastran/LS-Dyna, plus CAD tooling for model creation. This hybrid position offers comprehensive benefits and visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience creating and running CAE models for seat systems.
• Experience with CAE pre/post-processing tools (Hyperworks, ANSA, LS-PrePost).
• Ability to run and post-process Nastran/LS-Dyna analyses.
• Familiarity with CAD tools to develop CAE models from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize seating CAE models for seat systems across EV platforms.
• Analyze seat strength and stiffness at seat and body levels per Ford guidelines.
• Conduct DOE/DFSS studies using optimization tools to meet performance with mass/cost constraints.
• Support rapid concept development in cross-functional teams.
• Post-process results and animate critical load paths to inform design.
