Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is looking for an Electrified Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join their Electric Vehicle Efficiency Team. The role entails calibrating powertrains to enhance vehicle efficiency, performing on-road and simulation tests, and analyzing data to identify trends.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering along with 5+ years of relevant experience and have a solid understanding of vehicle testing tools and calibration procedures. HATCI offers a comprehensive benefits package including zero-dollar premiums on health insurance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in electrified powertrain calibration.
• Ability to work in harsh climate conditions (extremes of temperature).
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate powertrain to maximize AER, MPGe and MPG.
• Perform fuel economy testing following EPA procedures.
• Benchmark competitive vehicles and technologies.

Skills

Calibration experience with electric vehicles

Knowledge of vehicle propulsion systems

Data analysis with MATLAB

Excellent communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering
