Job summary

Drivemode in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a cross-disciplinary mobile engineering team building a Honda companion app using Kotlin Multiplatform, Jetpack Compose, and SwiftUI. You’ll own features end-to-end and drive delivery with ownership and a willingness to explore new tech.

You’ll mentor 8-10 engineers, collaborate with UX, QA, Product, Backend, and TPM, and coordinate with Honda to ensure aligned, high-quality releases while scaling the team through

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
4+ years as Software Engineer; 1+ year in Engineering Manager or similar role.
Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Android) and cross-platform technologies.

Responsibilities

Support a team of 8-10 direct reports, coaching, growth, and performance accountability.
Work closely with UX Design, Quality Assurance, Product, Backend, and TPM teams to plan and perfect features.
Bridge teams with Honda for smoother operations and communication.
Elevate team performance by establishing priorities and streamlining Agile processes.
Recruit mobile software engineers to scale the team.
