Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to our EV/DD team, delivering production-ready automotive electronics and power systems. You will drive schematic capture, component selection, and collaborate with PCB and mechanical teams to ensure design release and robust hardware.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive electronics, hands-on lab skills, and familiarity with RS485, UART, CAN, Ethernet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with RCCA and 8D problem solving.
• Hands-on with electric/electronic systems and standard lab equipment.
• Knowledge of RS485, UART, CAN, Ethernet.

Responsibilities

• Capture requirements and translate into technical specifications.
• Schematic capture, component selection and design release.
• Research concepts and bring to production readiness.
• Perform worst-case design calculations and thermal analysis.
• Collaborate with PCB and mechanical teams to guide layouts.
• Support design validation tests and end-of-line tests specification.
