Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Fleet Support Engineer to join the Vehicle Development team in Foster City, CA. The role focuses on supporting powertrain, vehicle dynamics, and EV technology with advanced troubleshooting and bring-up responsibilities.

You will serve as the primary technical contact for real-time escalations, perform root-cause analysis, and develop guides for technicians to ensure efficient issue resolution and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a focus on powertrain, energy storage, or charging systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Engineering.
• Ability to safely troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems.
• Hands-on experience with powertrain systems, including electric motors, inverters, and battery management systems.
• Deep understanding of electric vehicle (EV) technology and powertrain control strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations regarding powertrain and vehicle dynamics issues.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to powertrain performance, energy consumption, and charging.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for powertrain components to empower field technicians and drive knowledge sharing.
• Validate and perform component and vehicle bring-up/functional verification procedures, focusing on powertrain systems.
