Job summary

ChargePoint, Inc. is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to lead end-to-end investigations of electronics and PCBA failures, including AC/DC/DC-DC converters and cables. You will interpret test data, document findings, and drive corrective actions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong analytical foundations, the ability to work independently, and willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechatronics or related field.
• Read electrical schematics and component data sheets.
• Experience with electrical test equipment and failure analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with PCBA, MOSFETs, IGBTs, capacitors and cables.

Responsibilities

• Lead system- and component-level failure analysis for field returns and new products.
• Perform hands-on electrical and physical failure analysis on electronics.
• Define test plans for functional electrical testing and fault isolation.
• Communicate root cause conclusions to cross-functional teams.
• Drive CAPA closure and engage suppliers when needed.
