Rivian is seeking a highly technical Senior Manager, Durability CAE to lead our structural simulation team. You will direct a multidisciplinary engineering group performing high-fidelity CAE across Explicit Dynamics and the Implicit Domain, ensuring durability and safety long before prototypes.

The ideal candidate has a master-level FE background and a track record scaling teams in an OEM or high-growth EV environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering required.
• 10+ years in automotive CAE with leadership experience.
• Expertise in fatigue life prediction software and durability methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural durability and fatigue sign-offs for BIW, chassis, frames, and battery structures.
• Oversee full-vehicle explicit simulations and implicit analyses with strong numerical validation.
• Drive next‑generation CAE workflows, AI/automation, and data‑driven design improvements.
• Mentor a large CAE team and align deliverables with program milestones.
