Job summary

InCharge Energy seeks a strategic Director of Electrical Engineering & Technical Standards to build and lead an engineering organization enabling deployment and scaling of electrical assets across North America. You will establish standards, lead estimating and design functions, and collaborate with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 15+ years in electrical engineering leadership, engineering management, or EPC project delivery.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); multi-state licensure preferred.
• Extensive experience with MV systems, EV charging, BESS, DER, microgrids, and interconnections.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Electrical Engineers, Designers, Estimators, CAD personnel, and QA/QC teams; build a high-performing organization.
• Own and maintain company engineering standards for EV charging infrastructure, BESS, solar, microgrids, MV systems, switchgear, and interconnections.
• Develop standardized drawing packages, BOM libraries, ROM estimating templates, specs, and QA processes.
• Drive engineering innovation through design automation, AI-assisted tools, and template-based project execution.
• Partner with EPC Operations, Construction, and PM to reduce RFIs, change orders, and field issues.
• Serve as technical authority for NEC compliance, protection studies, grounding, commissioning, and best practices.
• Support strategic sales opportunities and executive-level technical discussions on emerging technologies like V2G, DER, load management.
