Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Engineering Intern in the GLOBAL AUTOMOTIVE BUSINESS UNIT, based in Winston Salem, NC. You will support the EV charging inlet design team and assist with 3D CAD modeling, drawings, and DVV activities throughout the product development lifecycle.

This role offers hands‑on experience with Creo, GD&T, BOM review, and cost-improvement initiatives, plus cross‑functional collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required or pursuing the degree.
  • Pursuing or completed BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Internship experience or capstone project preferred.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Design and iterate mechanical components for EV charging inlets using CAD tools.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers across the full product development lifecycle.
  • Apply engineering fundamentals to real-world product environments.
  • Support testing, reviews, and DFx activities (DFM/DFA) when needed.
