Job summary

Amentum in Dearborn, MI is seeking a Breadboard Test Engineer to lead electrical DV and hardware/software validation for automotive programs. The role involves coordinating test plans, configuring and testing breadboard ECUs, and ensuring milestones align with GPDS timing.

Required are a BSEE or related degree and 1+ year experience with CANalyzer, VehicleSpy, and Python scripting, plus JIRA proficiency. Collaboration across engineers, technicians and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field.
• 1+ year of experience in vehicle and breadboard electrical feature validation.
• 1+ year of experience with CANalyzer, VehicleSpy, and Python scripting.
• 1+ year of experience with JIRA Issue tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Determine program content that impacts electrical DV using documented program detail and cross‑functional input.
• Establish robust DV plans and set up test environments and tools (ELMS, SPROUT, etc.).
• Create pre-test documentation and ensure DV and FMVSS/ECE compliance during testing.
• Manage software implementation on breadboards and documentation of issues using JIRA.
