Job summary

Dorleco in Novi, Michigan is seeking a Body Electronics Design Engineer to lead the electrical hardware design of body electronics modules, sensors, and actuators from concept through testing, sign-off and production launch for OEM trucks and SUVs.

You will perform virtual and physical verification testing, contribute to DFMEA and ISO 26262, ensure designs meet safety standards and regulations, and collaborate across teams to optimize cost, performance and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in body electrical/electromechanical areas across design, test and launch.
• Minimum 5 years experience in body controls module.
• Strong technical skills in body control systems and Six Sigma approach to design and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify electrical hardware for body electronics modules, sensors and actuators from concept to production launch.
• Participate in DFMEA and ISO 26262 and other engineering activities to meet high engineering standards.
• Perform virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer experience and ensure safety compliance.
