Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced European Automotive Technician for a busy independent repair shop in Kalamazoo, MI. This role focuses on premium European vehicles, with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekend work.

You’ll diagnose and repair complex systems, perform bumper-to-bumper work, and document each service. The shop offers modern equipment, paid training, strong benefits, and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive repair experience.
• 3+ years working on European vehicles preferred.
• ASE Certifications and/or Michigan certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Team player with professional attitude and pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on European and import vehicles.
• Handle bumper-to-bumper repairs including engine, suspension, steering, electrical, and drivetrain systems.
• Diagnose drivability concerns using modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Work on BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Porsche, MINI, Volvo, and select Asian imports.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and service documentation.
• Collaborate with advisors and teammates to provide accurate repair recommendations.
