Job summary

Bybit is seeking a regulatory operations professional based in Vienna to manage MiFID-related topics, EMIR reporting, and PRIIP KID production. You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Customer Support to ensure timely, compliant case handling in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in an operational/regulatory setting, strong English and German communication skills, and solid MS Office with SQL/database familiarity. On-site in Austria, Vienna, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completed commercial or technical school education with a technical affinity.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel; familiarity with Apple OS and Lark.
• SQL and database experience is an advantage (MS SQL Server, Oracle DB).
• Knowledge of MiFID II and regulatory requirements.
• At least 3 years in an operational/regulatory-driven role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in German and English.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• This position is based in Austria, Vienna.

Responsibilities

• Periodic review of customer classifications (retail/professional/eligible counterparty) and MiFID-related measures.
• Serve as back-office contact for MiFID operational topics of the Bybit EU Platform.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Customer Support for timely case handling.
• Monitor EMIR transaction reporting and DTCC registration; resolve rejections/unmatched trades.
• Oversee daily PRIIP KID production and update process; ensure completeness and publication.
• Answer PRIIP KID helpline requests (phone).
• Assist with audits and inspections (internal, supervisory, auditors).

Key Responsibilities:

• Periodic review of customer classification (retail customer/professional customer/eligible counterparty), including performance of several MiFID related measures: MiFID Appropriateness test and the MIfID Acadamy Quiz.t
• Serve as the back office point of contact for MiFID related operational topics of the Bybit EU Platform.
• Liaise with internal departments such as Legal, Compliance and Customer Support to facilitate timely and coordinated case handling of MiFID related topics.
• Monitoring of timely and proper EMIR transaction reporting
  • Daily monitoring of EMIR transaction reports to the transaction register (DTCC), including pairing/matching quotas.
  • Clarification and correction of rejections/unmatched trades; coordination of late registrations and cancellations.
  • Control of UTI and UPI allocation, LEI validity, collateral/valuation notifications and lifecycle events.
• Oversee the daily PRIIP KID production and ensure proper escalation to ensure its availability and validity
  • Operational monitoring of the process for creating/updating KIDs (schedules, responsibilities, approvals).
  • Checking completeness/formalities (language versions, cost indicators, performance scenarios, SRI, historic funding rates) and correct publication/distribution.
  • Tracking regulatory updates (Level 2 RTS) and coordinating implementation with the product/legal department.
  • Maintaining the KID register, including version and validity management.
  • Answering PRIIP KID Helpline requests (Phonecalls)
• Support with audits/inspections (internal, supervisory, auditors).

Requirements:

• Completed commercial or technical school education with a technical affinity
• Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel, Apple OS and preferably Lark
• SQL and database experience are an advantage (MS SQL Server, Oracle DB)
• Basic understanding of MiFID II and its implementation in Austria, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in an operational role, preferably in a regulatory driven environment
• Meticulous attention to detail, with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
• Strong and open communication skills, resilience, and team spirit.
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment
