Job summary

The University of New Hampshire – Main Campus in Durham seeks an ETS/TRIO Academic Advisor to recruit and guide middle and high school students in the Nashua area, providing educational, career, college, and financial literacy guidance.

You will maintain participant records, collaborate with school personnel and community partners, plan college visits, and prepare progress reports for USDE, while supporting students toward graduation and college enrollment.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Education, Counseling or Human Services with two years experience with middle/high school students.
• Experience using a variety of computer applications.
• Preference for candidates living near served school districts.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and provide services to middle school and high school students in target area.
• Provide educational, career, college, financial literacy and financial aid information.
• Provide academic support and advising, individually and in groups.
• Resolve problems of program participants using appropriate advocacy and assistance.
• Collect data for program and USDE reports; maintain necessary records and files.
