Looking for an individual to fill the critical leadership role of Operations Lead of ETS reporting to the AVP of ETS, responsible for maintaining the team’s stability, performance, and culture. This position orchestrates the day‑to‑day activities of a hybrid technical workforce across Sound, Lighting, and Video Production, ensuring optimized workflows and consistent service standards for University events. As a vital bridge between ETS and the broader University community, the Lead cultivates strong partnerships and manages complex logistics to ensure operational readiness for event support of all sizes. By providing direct coaching and technical leadership, the Operations Lead ensures seamless continuity and prevents disruption to essential workflows.
Reporting to the AVP of ETS, the Operations Lead orchestrates the day-to-day activities of the technical workforce across sound, lighting, and video disciplines. This role is essential for optimizing workflows, balancing resources, and ensuring the team consistently meets deadlines and event service standards.
A pivotal aspect of this role is the daily management of a hybrid workforce, overseeing both full‑time staff and freelance technicians. This position ensures the ETS team maintains the agility required for variable workloads, scheduling, and rapid‑response scenarios, providing seamless continuity for all technical event support.
As a bridge between ETS and the broader University, the Operations Lead cultivates strong partnerships with departments, faculty, staff and University‑sponsored events—directly enabling consistent, high‑quality service delivery and a visible ETS presence.
This role contributes directly to event setup and technical support in service of ETS’s mission. The Operations Lead ensures appropriate staffing, coordinated logistics, and full operational readiness for events of all sizes, preserving both quality and continuity across a high volume of requests.
The Operations Lead contributes significantly to fostering a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture. Through direct engagement, coaching, and communication, this role helps maintain morale, promote team cohesion, retention, and embodies ETS values.
