Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks an Application Development Advisor to serve as a key technical expert in the design, development, and implementation of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions across multiple enterprise projects.

Hybrid work schedule. You will ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance, act as a subject matter expert in ETL design, and translate complex business requirements into efficient pipelines using IBM DataStage, Reltio, Kafka, and SQL.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any field with 5 years of experience (3–4 year degrees accepted).
Experience in healthcare domain and developing ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
Master data management using Reltio; Apache Kafka; Amazon S3; IBM DataStage Designer.
Writing complex SQL queries and using relational databases (Teradata, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server); APIs, JSON, XML.

Responsibilities

Ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance through robust architecture, standards, and best practices.
Act as a subject matter expert in ETL design and development, providing guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into efficient ETL architecture, workflows, and data transformation rules.
Create ETL mapping, design, and product support documents.
Review and validate design specifications and code deliverables from development teams to ensure compliance with standards.
Lead data analysis and metadata management initiatives to support accurate and consistent data usage.
Define and enforce ETL standards, processes, and best practices, leveraging expertise in normalized and de-normalized data structures.
Develop and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading processes within parallel processing frameworks.
Write and maintain advanced SQL scripts for data manipulation and validation.
Schedule the ETL jobs using ESP, testing and deployment in Production.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and methodologies for ETL deployments.
Perform comprehensive application test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
Execute data mapping activities, including source-to-target mapping and conversions to multiple output formats.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ETL solutions with enterprise systems.
