Job summary

2Link Partners in the Chicago area is seeking a seasoned ETL QA Test Engineer on a contract basis to ensure data integrity across MDM and Data Warehouse ecosystems. The role is hybrid, combining on-site Rosemont presence with remote work flexibility and engagement with cross-functional teams.

You will own testing strategy and execution, write complex SQL queries for validation, and perform RCA with reporting. Local candidates authorized to work in the US are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on ETL testing experience in enterprise environments.

• 5+ years of Data Warehousing experience with dimensional databases.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with complex queries.

We are looking for a seasoned ETL Quality Assurance Test Engineer to join a high-impact data team on a contract basis out of Rosemont, IL. This is a hybrid role a mix of on-site and remote working and is open to local Chicago-area candidates only.

The Opportunity

You'll play a critical role in ensuring data integrity across a complex ecosystem that includes Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouse environments, legacy platforms, and online database systems. This is a hands‑on position for someone who takes ownership of quality from strategy through execution.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading ETL process and data testing across MDM, Data Warehouse, and legacy platforms
• Writing and executing complex SQL queries for results validation, data mining, and foreign key dependency analysis
• Developing and executing Test Strategy, Test Design, and Test Execution plans
• Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and producing heatmaps and reporting
• Collaborating cross-functionally with development and business teams to identify and resolve issues
• Working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

What You Bring

• 10+ years of hands‑on ETL testing experience- this is non‑negotiable
• 10+ years of Quality Assurance experience in enterprise environments
• 5+ years of Data Warehousing experience, including dimensional databases
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with a strong focus on complex queries
• Proven experience with RCA, test lifecycle management, and QA best practices
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication and client‑facing interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

• Hands‑on experience with Kodda or SSIS packages
