Motion Recruitment is seeking a Data Quality Assurance Engineer to join a hybrid Data & Analytics team in Chicago. You will validate data movement, perform ETL and regression testing, and ensure data quality across enterprise platforms.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and analytics teams to establish data quality standards and governance across cloud data warehouses and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with ETL testing and data validation.
• Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and verification.
• Experience with dimensional data models and data warehouses.
• Ability to execute data migration and data integrity testing initiatives.
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and regression testing strategies.
• Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Validate data movement between source and target systems.
• Execute ETL, regression, migration, and performance testing activities.
• Perform data reconciliation and integrity checks across enterprise platforms.
• Develop and maintain testing documentation and test strategies.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify and resolve data issues.
• Support analytics teams through report and dashboard validation.
• Help establish best practices for data quality and testing governance.
