Job summary

Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented ETL QA Automation Engineer to join its QA team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure software quality and performance across UI, API, and data layers.

Responsibilities include driving test strategy, automation, and defect management while mentoring QE colleagues and collaborating in Agile ceremonies. Newark, DE compensation is competitive, with strong growth opportunities within a global fintech-focused firm.

Qualifications

Proficient in Java development and OO design.
Experience designing, writing, and debugging Java automation tests with Selenium.
Strong understanding of QA life cycle, test planning, and defect tracking.
Hands-on experience with API testing and backend data validation.

Responsibilities

Ensure standard QA practices are followed across projects.
Conduct end-to-end testing to verify business, technical, and functional requirements.
Design and execute test scripts aligned with strategy and plans to identify defects before production.
Define and lead test strategy, planning, and QA best practices.
Drive test automation across UI, API, and integration layers.
Collaborate with PO, BA, Tech Lead, and team during Agile ceremonies.
Ensure test coverage, quality gates, and defect management.
Mentor QE team members and promote continuous improvement.
Communicate quality status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
