ETL QA Analyst — Healthcare Data Integrity

Job summary

CSpring is hiring an ETL Tester to design, automate, and execute tests for state Medicaid EDW ETL processes. You will validate data accuracy, integrity, and quality across source and target systems, using Informatica PowerCenter and Teradata within Azure DevOps and Agile cycles.

The role requires 5+ years in QA/testing of ETL/data warehouses, strong SQL skills, and experience with data validation, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines. Healthcare data experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/testing experience supporting ETL, data warehouse, backend data systems, healthcare analytics, or enterprise data platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, Azure, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data validation, test automation, pipeline testing, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases such as Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
• Experience testing ETL, data warehouse, backend, integration, end-to-end, and UI solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts, including dimensional modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions, data transformations, and data quality validation.
• Experience validating data mappings, business rules, source-to-target reconciliation, data transformations, and overall data integrity.
• Experience with ETL tools such as ADF, Informatica, Talend, or SSIS, and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or HP ALM.
• Experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, and defect management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate, and execute test cases for EDW ETL processes in a State Government Medicaid environment.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data as it moves through ETL processes.
• Design and execute test strategies that validate functional and non-functional requirements of data pipelines.
• Leverage ETL tools (Informatica PowerCenter, Teradata) within Azure DevOps and agile sprints to ensure data quality and automate testing.
• Review Change Requests and participate in requirement analysis for new EDW extracts and transformations.
• Write complex SQL queries to validate ETL outputs, perform row counts, null and duplicate checks, and referential integrity validation.
• Document test results, provide feedback to stakeholders, and conduct regression testing with ETL developers.
