QualityAI is seeking an ETL Manual Tester to join our remote United States team. You will validate ETL data pipelines, perform data quality checks, and ensure accurate reporting across Databricks and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to maintain data integrity and enable AI-assisted testing. The role requires hands-on SQL, Databricks experience, and familiarity with data warehouse concepts.

Formación

• 3+ years in ETL Testing, Data Quality Engineering, QA, or related role.

Responsabilidades

• Perform functional and data validation testing for ETL processes and analytics solutions.
• Validate data movement, transformations, and business rules across source and target systems.
• Develop and execute test cases from requirements and source-to-target mapping documents.
• Profile data, reconcile mappings, and identify defects for resolution and retesting.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to resolve data quality issues.
• Execute regression testing to ensure enhancements do not impact existing functionality.
• Support testing of AI-enabled solutions and validate AI-generated outputs against requirements.

Must Have Qualifications

• -3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, ETL Testing, Data Validation, and Functional Testing
• -Strong experience with SQL for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation
• -Experience working with Databricks, data lakes, or cloud-based data platforms
• -Experience validating ETL/Data Pipeline transformations and data movement across systems
• -Experience utilizing AI prompts and validating AI/agent outputs
• -Ability to support multiple applications, data sources, and workstreams simultaneously

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ETL Quality Engineering Consultant to support enterprise data initiatives and ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong testing and analytical skills with hands‑on experience in SQL, Databricks, ETL validation, and data quality assurance.

This individual will work closely with data engineers, developers, business analysts, and product teams to validate data transformations, reconcile source‑to‑target mappings, identify defects, and ensure high-quality delivery of data solutions.

Responsibilities

• -Perform functional and data validation testing for ETL processes, data integrations, and analytics solutions.
• -Validate data movement, transformations, aggregations, and business rules across source and target systems.
• -Develop and execute test cases based on business requirements, user stories, and source-to-target mapping documents.
• -Perform data profiling, reconciliation, and root cause analysis using SQL queries and Databricks environments.
• -Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across multiple applications and data platforms.
• -Identify, document, and track defects through resolution and retesting.
• -Collaborate with Data Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development Teams to resolve data quality issues.
• -Execute regression testing to ensure enhancements and releases do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• -Support testing of AI‑enabled solutions and validate AI‑generated outputs against business requirements.
• -Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and defect triage discussions.
• -Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and execution reports.
• -Identify test data requirements and create, modify, or refresh data sets as needed.
• -Perform backend testing using SQL and data quality validation techniques.
• -Proactively identify data quality risks and recommend improvements to testing processes and controls.
• -Contribute to the development of automated validation approaches where practical.

Qualifications

• -Minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL Testing, Data Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related role.
• -Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data quality principles.
• -Advanced SQL skills with the ability to perform complex queries, joins, validations, and reconciliation analysis.
• -Hands‑on experience with Databricks and large-scale data platforms.
• -Experience performing source‑to‑target validation and data lineage verification.
• -Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• -Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• -Ability to quickly learn new business domains, applications, and datasets.
