Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned ETL Developer with strong expertise in Ab Initio and working knowledge of AWS-based environments. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 to 6 years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio, and a solid understanding of ETL processes, particularly involving Mainframe ABSIDIC file formats sourced from TSYS. The primary responsibility will be to analyze, modify, and optimize existing Ab Initio graphs and ETL workflows hosted on AWS, ensuring compatibility with evolving data layouts and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

·Analyze existing Ab Initio graphs and workflows to understand current ETL architecture.

·Modify and enhance ETL jobs to accommodate file layout changes, especially for ABSIDIC files received from TSYS mainframe systems.

·Ensure seamless operation of ETL processes on AWS infrastructure.

·Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and other developers to gather requirements and implement effective solutions.

·Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs for performance and data integrity issues.

·Work with AWS services as they pertain to data ingestion, transformation, and storage.

Required Skills & Experience:

·5–6 years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio (graphs, plans, continuous flows).

·Experience working with Mainframe ABSIDIC file formats, ideally from TSYS.

·Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data transformation, and data quality frameworks.

·Experience with AWS Cloud services, particularly as a hosting environment for Ab Initio (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.).

·Ability to quickly understand existing systems and make targeted enhancements.

·Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

·Familiarity with TSYS systems or credit card processing environments.

·Experience with data migration or modernization projects involving cloud platforms.

·Basic knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation.
